The Future of Skincare - a treatment for all skins concerns

Despite the name, Bio Microneedling does not involve any needles! Instead, it uses microscopic spicules or crystals (derived from natural sea sponges) that gently penetrate the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production and boosting cell turnover, giving you fresh, plump, juicy skin and a hydrated, younger appearance.

Applied like a facial treatment without the discomfort of traditional microneedling treatments.

Bio microneedling will reduce pigmentation,  wrinkles, acne and acne scarring, and improve skin laxity and impaired skin barrier. A full set of new, healthy, vibrant cells in just 7 days.

Suitable for old, young and sensitive skin and all Fitzpatrick Skin types.

What are your skin concerns?

Our skin is high maintenance , susceptible to fine lines, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and uneven texture. It constantly changes, and not always in ways we’d like.

As we age, maintaining that smooth and radiant glow becomes even harder. Fine lines start to settle in, skin loses its firmness and that youthful glow begins to fade. You might notice dark spots and uneven tone creeping in, or find yourself frustrated by lingering acne scars that just won’t go away.

If you’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work, you’re not alone. We understand how these skin concerns can wear down your confidence and how discouraging it is to look in the mirror and not feel like yourself.

Hence, we introduced Bio Microneedling — a gentle yet highly effective treatment that works deep beneath the surface to target these issues at the root, leaving your skin smoother, brighter, and revitalised.

What is Bio Microneedling?

Spicule skin care is an innovative approach to skincare that uses microscopic, biodegradable needles derived from natural freshwater sponge spicules. When applied to the skin, these tiny structures penetrate the outer layers of the skin and create microscopic injury and microchannels to deliver active ingredients directly into the dermis. This technique stimulates the skin’s natural repair processes, enhancing its structure and promoting a healthier, more youthful plump appearance.

Key Features:

  • 3000% increase in product absorption

  • Between 1 - 5 million micro-channels created per treatment

  • 72 hours of intense product absorption post-treatment

Improved cell turnover speed

Bio-microneedling spicule skin care targets the lower-level stem cells at the base of the epidermis by creating millions of microchannels that remain open for 72 hours post-treatment. This allows absorption of products to the deeper layer, providing nourishment and new cell stimulation. The physical impact of these spicules also stimulates your stem cells to increase production of new healthy fresh cells that then begin to migrate to the surface. These new cells push out/off the older cells, leaving plump new cells at the surface level, creating a younger, fresher appearance. This improves hydration levels, the acid mantle and your skin’s general functioning. (Improved sun protection and defence against infection and inflammation).

To Boil It Down:
The tiny, painless spicules are microneedles (smaller than you can see) that work their magic beneath the skin’s surface, triggering renewal and revealing a smoother, brighter, younger you.

Skin Physiology

For those of you who are interested in the scientific stuff, we provide you with a brief skin anatomy and physiology class here to help you better understand the science behind our bio-microneedling skin treatments.

As we age, the production of collagen and elastin in the dermis naturally declines. This leads to thinner, less hydrated skin, accompanied by fine lines and wrinkles. External factors such as sun exposure, pollution, and lifestyle habits can also accelerate this process, while diet, insufficient hydration, low intake of essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, further influences how your skin ages.

Additionally, cell turnover slows with age, transitioning from a 28-day cycle in your 20s to a 90-day cycle by your 50s. This slowdown leaves the skin looking dull and tired.

Skincare treatments and products are specifically designed to combat these effects by accelerating cell turnover, providing essential nutrients, and creating an optimal environment for structural rebuilding. By stimulating new cell production, improving hydration, and restoring the skin's thickness, these solutions help rejuvenate and strengthen the dermal layer.

Achieving youthful, resilient skin starts with addressing these foundational changes, ensuring a healthy and vibrant complexion at any age.

Anatomy of the Skin: The layers

1. Epidermis (Outer Layer)

The thin, outermost layer of the skin. Composed mainly of keratinocytes (produce keratin), melanocytes (produce melanin), Langerhans cells (immune response), and Merkel cells (sensation).

2. Dermis (Middle Layer)

The thick layer beneath the epidermis, composed of connective tissue, collagen, and elastin fibers for strength and elasticity

3. Hypodermis / Subcutaneous Tissue (Deepest Layer)

The inner most layer of the skin, composed mainly of fat and connective tissue, contains larger blood vessels and nerves. The Hypodermis is where energy (Fat) is stored to provide insulation and cushioning.
